Marie Johnston is a best-selling American writer of paranormal and contemporary romance. She debuted in 2014 with the novel Fever Claim, which became the first in a popular series The Sigma Menace. Her debut series later has been translated into German.
Now she has several dozen published books and releases about ten books a year.
Marie Johnston was a public health microbiologist but left her job to raise her four children. Settling into working part-time and shuttling kids around allowed Marie to think about what she wanted to be when she grew up.
"I was at a point in my life where I wanted a career I was passionate about again, but with the flexibility to be around for my family. I've always loved writing, and indie publishing has a lot of potential for me to build the career of my dreams," Johnston said.
First, she wanted to write contemporary stories based on Navy men and women. Then Johnston started writing down all the tales she has been making up in her head for years in the paranormal romance genre.
She is a die-hard science geek and geeks out to JR Ward, Kresley Cole, Gena Showalter, Larissa Ione, and Laura Wright.
Marie Johnston lives with her family in North Dakota.
