Carolyn Sweers, who claims to be the editor of the pub Journals of the probably fictitious Phil Ossifer, is a free-lance philosopher and teacher who lives in Milwaukee, Wi. She did take a Kant Seminar in graduate school. For the past fifty years, she has been a philosophy teacher. Both in the high school courses she taught for 25 years, and now in various Older Adult programs, she attempts to bring philosophical insights into dialogue with the lived experience of the students. The Superior Person's Guide to the Universe is an attempt to do something similar book form.
