    My favorite tip for Twitter trends is to use Hootlet from Hootsuite. It can be added as a free extension to your browser or be used as a stand-alone app. Hootlet basically helps us to compose a Tweet or Facebook post. It provides tips as to length of Tweet, the efficacy of your hashtag etc

    If you keep to this, your posts will naturally only be promotional 20% of the time.
