Ashley Poston is the USA Today and New York Times bestselling American author of romantic stories for teens and adults. She is best known for her first adult novel, The Dead Romantics (2022).
Ashley Poston was born in South Carolina. Inspired by everything from Sailor Moon to Firefly to Harry Potter, she started writing in middle school and never stopped.
Poston completed her degree at the University of South Carolina with a major in English and a minor in Advertising and PR. She then worked for Kodansha USA and Bloomsbury Publishing. She branched into marketing design and social media coordination before becoming a full-time author.
Throughout her internships, book blogging, and journalism classes, Ashley combined her love for writing with a deeper understanding of publishing.
Her young adult novels, earning spots on the Indie Next List multiple times, received acclaim from Teen Vogue, Seventeen, Entertainment Weekly, Hypable, and Buzzfeed. Ashley Poston was a Goodreads Choice Finalist in 2017 for Geekerella and a semi-finalist for The Princess and the Fangirl in 2019.
Heart of Iron, her critically acclaimed space opera series, made the Rainbow List for 2019.
