Jennifer Hillman-Magnuson

I'm an author and mother of five children. I got my start as a writer by blogging. I then landed my first contract with Nickelodeon, where I helped write content for their first parenting website, Parents Connect. I have also freelanced for various print and online magazines, including my favorite literary magazine, Brain, Child: The Magazine for Thinking Mothers.I started writing my first book in journal format about three and a half years ago while we were still living in India. We have since lived in Nashville, Abu Dhabi (in the United Arab Emirates) and Oregon. I connected with an agent who saw my experience as a potential book, and now, over three years later, my book debuts in November, 2014.I am currently working on my next project in between the work that comes with having five kids (all still in the house until we lose two to college next fall).
