Elizabeth Briggs

Elizabeth Briggs is an American bestselling author of paranormal and fantasy romances featuring twisty plots, plenty of spice, and a guaranteed happy ending. Briggs also writes YA novels.

Elizabeth Briggs graduated from UCLA with a degree in sociology. She is a cancer survivor who has worked with teens in foster care and volunteered with animal rescue organizations.

Elizabeth's journey as a writer began with a lifelong passion for storytelling. However, she initially struggled to complete a full-length book, often stuck in the first chapter.

Her breakthrough came when she participated in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), an annual event challenging writers to complete a novel in a month. This experience taught her discipline and helped her overcome the hurdle of finishing her first book.

Briggs entered a contest hosted by Agent Kate Testerman of KT Literary. She had to answer, "If you could travel in time for 24 hours, where would you go and why?" Elizabeth focused on going to the future to witness her destiny and potential global events, which intrigued Kate. Fate intervened, and Kate Testerman eventually became Elizabeth's literary agent.

Her debut novel, Future Shock (2016), incorporates a blend of science fiction, mystery, and time travel elements. Crafting a story with these intricate elements presented its own set of challenges. Ensuring the time travel concept was well-executed while weaving in mystery elements like clues and foreshadowing required meticulous planning. Elizabeth tackled this by creating detailed timelines and outlines to maintain narrative coherence.

Now Briggs is the author of the successful new adult series Chasing the Dream, Zodiac Wolves, Royal Hearts, and others.

Elizabeth Briggs lives in Los Angeles with her Family.
