Gravity

I’m not sure exactly how I got to this point, but the older I got, the less I trusted the world around me.

At the moment, I just needed a friend, someone to talk to, and someone to keep me distracted from all the troubles that were going on in my head.

People oversee people. Experience oversees experiences. And it’s all the same.

And when it was over,
nothing defined us
other than the moments
that made us feel free.

I was just another person in love with the way she lit the night sky.

Yeah, I remembered a lot of things, but what I remembered the most was the pain I couldn’t leave behind, and it hurt. It always hurt.

She was a bit obsessed with the idea, and I never understood why, and to this day I still don’t understand it at all. It was something so simple, yet hard to swallow, and I always thought it was somewhat of a taboo to even say. I mean, ideally no one wants to be forgotten, everyone wants to be remembered one way or another, and no one ever wants to slowly dissolve into the nothingness of another person’s mind. So to constantly mention it was something out of the ordinary.

I remembered a lot of things. Like the way I used to laugh when I was a little girl, the light in my father’s eyes when he would lift me into the air, and the way those lazy summer days would slowly pass me by.

but that didn’t happen, and of course, it didn’t go as planned, as many things in my life have gone

You’d be going somewhere on a specific path, and sometimes you’d fall and the drop didn’t necessarily kill you
