Commodity is any raw material or goods that can be bought or sold; it has great value. Trading commodity is a good investment though there are a number of risks involved. Using commodity trading as a get-rich scheme tend to lose big because they take bigger risks while those treating it as a business end up making a good return.
There are four main classes of commodities, energy, metals, meats and agricultural products. They are said to be the ‘essential building blocks’ of the world’s economy. Those which are traded the most include corn, soybeans, rice and cotton.
