Philosophy for busy people. Read a succinct account of the philosophy of Heidegger in just one hour.
One of the two major philosophical traditions of the twentieth century was linguistic analysis, derived largely from Wittgenstein. The other, diametrically opposed, came from Heidegger, and its fundamental question was: ‘What is the meaning of existence?’ For Heidegger, this was not a query that could simply be ‘analysed away’ — it was beyond the reach of logic or reason. This was the primary ‘given’ of every individual life. To confront it, Heidegger needed to develop an entirely new form of philosophy.
Here is a concise, expert account of Heidegger’s life and philosophical ideas that is entertainingly written and easy to understand. Also included are selections from Heidegger’s work, suggested further reading and chronologies that place Heidegger in the context of the broader scheme of philosophy.

    🔮Overraskende

Heidegger is complex to read and this should not be the correct way knowledge is transferred. I have spoken with 2 PhD on Philosophy in order to understand the basic terms of Heidegger as Dasein. Hundreds of pages written about this author, many youtube channels deciphering this author, when you can you can simplify dasein as "human beings, that interacting with other people or things affect their behaviour or meaning in life, and this human beings should be pointing to live their lives in the present (forget a bit about past and future)" but nooooo I am a great philosopher I need to complicate everything as Derrida, Sartre, Hegel, etc in order to impulse this narrative about intelectual thing must be really complicated. I don't deny some concepts could be really complicated but through time I have learnt that if you cannot explain clearly and with Intelligence a concept you have created or absorbed, then is just a bunch of gibberish.

According to Heidegger, the curse of inauthenticity comes from simply not concentrating one’s life upon the question of being.
