This is a story about a woman named Lilly, whose very name represents a delicate flower. Her voice is sheer magic, and her heart is of pure gold. Everyone who knows Lilly loves her. Lilly is in her second phase in life. Throughout the first phase of her life, all she ever wanted to do was achieve a lifelong dream of becoming a famous folk singer in a band. She has always had a special message to share with others through her voice and those sparkling twinkling big brown eyes-a lot like Bambi. Lilly's vision was that her destiny was and still is about sharing her message of love, but she could not overlook the responsibility of raising two children as a single mother. She decided to put all her dreams on hold until she felt it was the right time once her children could achieve their greatest potential and destiny. Lilly moved to Southeast Florida from California. At that time, the cost of living was too high in California, much less in the State of Florida, which would make life easier for her financially. Economically, the cost of living in the State of Florida was approximately 45 percent less than in California, so off she went looking forward to this new chapter in her life.

Suzanne Roberts Singer, Songwriter, and Storyteller I began writing short stories in middle school never knowing where the ideas came from but always received high marks for my works. Some of my experiences in life have brought me to a place where I needed to release and express some very intense feelings, the one thing about artists they are by far the most misunderstood people, any time you can find an outlet for those feelings that do not include alcohol or drugs take it, as the old saying goes “when life gives you lemons you make lemonade” this story is just that, it is about making lemonade.
