Most AI-in-education books fall into two camps: panic or hype. This one carves out a third path grounded in neuroscience. The FLUFF/SPARK framework alone is worth the read, it gives you a simple way to decide which tasks should involve AI and which ones students need to struggle through on their own. The Cognitive Gym chapter changed how I design assessments. Instead of trying to “AI-proof” everything, I’m now building assignments that make thinking visible and verifiable. Short, direct, and immediately usable.
