Sinclair Jayne

Sinclair Jayne is the pen name of American author Sinclair Sawhney, who writes Westerns, cowboys, rodeos, contemporary romances, and holiday books.

Sinclair Jayne holds a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine and a K-8 teaching certification from the University of Washington. Her literary journey is enriched by a diverse background that includes work as a journalist and middle school teacher.

Sinclair fell in love with romance novels when she discovered Barbara Cartland's historical romances in sixth grade. This fascination evolved into a lifelong journey, and by seventh grade, she found herself enchanted by the heroes conceived in the imaginations of her favourite authors.

After dedicating years to teaching writing classes and workshops to adults and teens in Seattle and Portland, Sinclair returned to her first love—reading romances—and for over seven years, Sinclair has served as Senior Editor with Tule Publishing.

Using the pseudonym Sinclair Jayne, she has published fifteen short contemporary romances, and four more are in the works.

Her latest work is The Cowboy’s Christmas Homecoming (2023). This heartwarming tale embodies her signature themes of snow, family, forgiveness, giving, and finding joy in life's small moments.

The Cowboy’s Christmas Homecoming is part of the Coyote Cowboys of Montana series, where Sinclair introduces characters like Rohan Telford, a Special Forces veteran. Her storytelling unfolds against the backdrop of the Marietta Stroll, gingerbread houses, Santa visits, tree decorating, sleigh rides, hot chocolate, and the transformative power of letting go of past pain to embrace a happier, more fulfilling future—underscored, of course, by the magic of love.

In her personal life, Sinclair Jayne has been happily married for over twenty-four years, and she is the proud parent of two. She resides in Oregon's wine country, where her family owns a small vineyard of Pinot Noir.
