Barbara Lapajne Predin

Barbara Lapajne Predin lives and works in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She has worked as an actress for fifteen years, performing in the theatre and appearing in several features, television films and serials. As a theatre and film actress she has received several awards. In 1993 she founded her theatre group Levi breg, staging some of the first private theatre productions in Slovenia. The group would acquire funds from donors and sponsors, and Barbara has gradually become a theatre and music producer. In 2007 she defended her Master's thesis entitled Agencija - alternativni regulator zaposlovanja igralcev [Acting Agency - the Alternative Regulator of Actors' Employment] at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ljubljana. She is married to a well known Slovenian singer songwriter Zoran Predin and the mother of two sons, Žiga and Črt, while Zarja, Rok and Andrej are members of her extended family. The lively family as well as her real and imaginary journeys inspire her stories, which she has been telling the children at various events for years.
