Kemper Donovan

Kemper Donovan has lived in Southern California for a dozen years. He attended Stanford University in Northern California (which may as well be another state), and then went to law school because, like many undergrads, he had no idea what he wanted to do. After graduating from Harvard Law (and making some of his best friends there), he ruined an entire summer of his life studying for the New York Bar. He passed, but promptly "retired" at the age of 25, never having practiced a day. He worked for ten years at the literary management company Circle of Confusion in Los Angeles representing screenwriters and comic books. His first client wrote the feature film Hanna, released by Focus Features. He is now a full-time writer. On bad writing days he distracts himself with the violin, which he took up a year or two ago. He would like to take this opportunity to formally apologize to his neighbors for these practice sessions. He also runs, and completed the L.A. Marathon in 2015 when it was 91 degrees in March (ridiculous). The Decent Proposal is his first novel.
