FBI Deputy Director Walter Shaw is facing a major dilemma: one of his deep-cover field agents, Michael Harper, has been killed in a tragic car accident.

Harper had spent several weeks infiltrating a militia group that was hell-bent on ridding the United States of all Muslims. Shortly before his untimely death, the agent had sent news that a major attack was being planned against several Islamic targets in America.

With time running out, Shaw is left with only one alternative. Michael Harper's identical twin-brother Daniel is plucked from a Las Vegas jail cell and coerced into taking his brother's place. Michael Harper's handler, Diedra Wolfe, is saddled with the unenviable task of turning a common criminal into an undercover agent in a matter of days. The only thing in Daniel Harper's favor? An eidetic memory, resulting from a childhood head injury.
