That ring should never have been on Amelia’s hand.

After seducing me, her best friend’s husband, trusting her is something I’ve never been great at.

After what she has already seen and heard, Robin is fairly sure that at least one of them will never leave this place again.

She knows he’ll eat when he is hungry.

Her mind wanders back in time, and she thinks about what happened when he was a boy. What he saw and what he didn’t. The story is as tragic now as it was then, and Robin wonders if he still has the nightmares about the woman in red. She thinks the time has come for him to be told the truth, but he isn’t going to like it.

Watching the couple start to relax inside the chapel, she knew that they had made poor choices too. And coming here was probably top of the list.

Then the lights go out.

‘Adam?’ I call.

The trapdoor up above me slams shut.

‘Adam!’ I scream, but he doesn’t answer, and all I can see is black.

What he doesn’t know is that if things don’t go according to plan, only one of us will be going home.
