My CV and letter always started with a short headline:
‘Experienced International Brand
Orientated Businessman seeks challenging
non-executive appointment.’

This will be the first thing people reading your CV will see. If they like that headline they will read further. Otherwise, they’ll simply delete/file WBP.

start your CV with a good, strong headline, which states quite clearly what you are seeking and why you consider yourself a good candidate.

List your qualifications, your language skills, technical skills, etc., and at the end – briefly – your interests.

List your job successes and accomplishments in reverse chrono­logical order, from the most recent. Use achievement bullet points and action statements and not vague terms. Always be succinct.

No one is interested in long explanations of what you have done. Remember, all they are interested in is what you can do for them.
