La Bastarda

• This is the first novel to be published in English by an Equatorial Guinean woman, and the second book ever to be published in English by an Equatorial Guinean author.
• The novella will feature an introduction by an American writer or journalist, who will contextualize the story and explicate on the importance of the book’s publication. Writers currently being considered include Yaa Gyasi, Imbolo Mbue, and Ama Ata Aidoo (another Feminist Press author). The novella also includes a glossary of Fang terms.
